Category Cars
In the UK, insurance write-offs are classified into four categories: A, B, S, and N. Category A and Category B vehicles are permanently removed from the road due to the severity of the damage. Category S (Structural) and Category N (Non-Structural) vehicles, however, can legally return to the road once they have been professionally repaired and meet all applicable safety requirements.
At Souly Electric, we carefully source and professionally repair selected Category S and Category N vehicles. Every vehicle is restored using genuine manufacturer parts wherever possible and prepared to a standard we would be happy to own ourselves. Our priority is to deliver vehicles that are safe, reliable, and finished to an exceptionally high standard.
Why shouldn't a Category S or Category N vehicle put you off?
A previous insurance category should not, on its own, deter you from purchasing a vehicle. What truly matters is the quality of the repairs, the standard of workmanship, and complete transparency throughout the buying process.
Before any sale, every customer is fully informed of the vehicle's Category S or Category N status and is encouraged to ask as many questions as they wish. Where available, we're happy to provide repair photographs, discuss the work carried out, and ensure you have all the information needed to make a confident and informed decision before purchasing.
It is also worth noting that an insurance category is assigned by an insurer at the time of the claim and does not necessarily reflect the vehicle's condition after professional repairs have been completed. This is why we encourage every customer to assess the vehicle as it stands today, alongside its repair history, documentation, and overall condition.
Buy with Confidence
